Update from the ODBM Director

We're thankful for the many who have prayed for God to work through the tragedy of the recent earthquake in Myanmar to make His Gospel known and to care for the countless victims. Many have given generously to help national churches in that area provide relief aid and to proclaim the Good News. Through the partnership of God's people here in the US and there in Myanmar, much needed food and supplies were distributed with the Gospel to the needy.

Critical food items and a range of supplies were distributed to over 100 families, most of whom had lost everything in the earthquake. They received basic food, like rice, cooking oil, and noodles. Some received kitchen utensils, and many kids received school supplies. It was a blessing for the Christians to have the means and opportunity to tangibly demonstrate the love of Christ while sharing God's eternal salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.

In addition to proclaiming the Gospel while distributing free food and relief aid, a church in Mandalay also held a 4-day evangelistic seminar. One of the national pastors and mission leaders wrote us the following update:

Praise God many people turned to God and trusted Jesus for the rest of their lives. It was the sweetest moment to see a young Buddhist came to faith in Jesus and decide for baptism.

Throughout most of South Asia, the god of this world continues to blind countless peoples, keeping them in bondage. (2 Cor. 4:4) Pray for the power of God to work through this tragedy to shine the light of truth and to turn many more to Christ in faith and repentance. Thank you for partnering with our brothers and sisters in Myanmar through prayer and giving to help shine the light of the glorious Gospel to those lost in darkness.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and partnership with ODBM to impact the needy nations of Asia with the Gospel for the glory of God!

Keep praying for the unreached in Asia!
