This past month, something beautiful happened in a quiet corner of Myanmar.
In partnership with Antioch International Missions (AIM), local believers and church leaders gathered for a music & drama seminar unlike any they had experienced before. It wasn’t just about learning songs and doing Bible-based dramas, but about conducting local church worship that glorifies God. Leading the seminar was Kit (no real names are used), an international music consultant. Kit has served on church planting teams in Europe and has conducted music seminars around the world. Kit's passion is to encourage national church leaders and missionaries to develop authentic Christ-centered worship in the languages and context of those being reached with the Gospel.

Why Music & Drama Matters
Music is a critical part of worship and declaring God's glory among the nations. In that music is critical to worship, it is critical to churches and therefore critical to missions. AIM trains and prepares national missionaries to reach the unreached peoples in Myanmar. Kit (ODBM) taught the week long seminar to provide biblical training for AIM missionaries to lay a biblical foundation of music for the churches that they are planting. The AIM missionaries also learned how to creatively use simple drama to share the Gospel and teach God's Word.

What Happened at the Seminar?
Over several days, local missionaries serving among multiple unreached people groups came together to:
Explore the biblical foundations of worship
Study music theory and composition
Learn how to create original worship songs using indigenous instruments and languages
Perform a biblical drama
Kit brought both technical expertise and a deep love for the local church to help equip the missionaries to develop God-honoring worship in the new church plants. The participants expressed great appreciation and requested future training.

Lasting Impact
Pray for the AIM missionaries to put into practice the training they received with wisdom. May the Lord give them fruit for their ministry with churches being planted that faithfully preach the Word, make disciples, and sing the Word for the glory of God.
