An update from the ODBM Director

As we reflect on the close of the past year and the start of a new one, we’re filled with gratitude for what God is doing in Indonesia through our partners on the ground. A three-day block class was conducted to ground believers in the core doctrines of the Christian faith. The teaching focused on three foundational areas: salvation (soteriology), the Bible (bibliology), and the church (ecclesiology).

The response was overwhelming—in the best way. While the team initially planned for 70 participants, they were surprised and deeply encouraged when around 140 people registered and came. Among them were several Muslims, including a young Muslim woman who had previously visited the church and chose to attend all three days of the class. Her interest and openness to the Gospel are signs of God at work. The team remains cautiously optimistic that she will soon make a profession of faith.

Please join us in praying for her continued spiritual journey and for others who were impacted by the teaching.

A Church Building Project

God is also at work on one of the main islands where the church is growing—so much so that their previous building could no longer accommodate their needs. The old structure has been converted into a junior high school, and now a new church auditorium is being built.

While significant funds have already been raised, the team still needs about $15,000 to complete the project. We're thankful that the ground preparation and foundation work have already begun. Please pray with us for the completion of this building—so that the growing congregation can have a dedicated space to gather, worship, and continue sharing the Gospel in their region.

Thank You

Thank you for your prayers and partnership with ODBM to serve and assist churches in Asia to advance the Gospel among those who need to hear the Good News!
